Studio Policy

The Golden Practice Rule: For maximum progress, students should practice within 24 hours of their last lesson for best memory retention. Just 15 minutes of practice the day after a lesson is worth an hour of practice four days later! Consistency is key, even during busy weeks!
Performance: I highly encourage participation in our in-person and our online performances. These are vital learning tools for development! A per student fee is charged for the all studio recital, other performance opportunities do not have additional costs.
Digital Tools: We utilize specific online learning programs and a private, parent approved YouTube channel to reinforce skills.

The 32-Lesson Guarantee: Tuition covers 32 lessons over the 34 weeks available in the academic year.
Cancellations: Please provide as much notice as possible for cancellations; I will always do the same for you.
Make-ups & Rescheduling: I do not typically schedule make-up lessons. However, rescheduling is often possible if enough notice is provided.
Sports Flexibility: I strive to be flexible with sports related schedule changes and appreciate families who extend that same flexibility to one another.

The "Stay Home" Policy: If a student shows any contagious symptoms, please cancel or request an online lesson. I will provide the same courtesy to your family.

Studio Hygiene: All students must wash their hands immediately upon entering the studio. I sanitize the piano keys and the surrounding area between students.

Food & Environment Allergies: Accommodations can be made for food and environment allergies.

Professional Boundaries: All communication from the studio will be strictly piano-related.
The Duet Portal: Every family receives a Duet login. Please use this portal to track lesson reminders, teacher notes, and billing. Student access portals also available.
Privacy: All images or videos shared on the studio’s private channel are only posted with prior parent approval.
